Tyre inflator: available models

Tyre inflator guns come in several versions, tailored for both private individuals and professionals, especially in auto repair shops. Our models of these compressor accessories are equipped with hoses of various lengths and feature either analogue or digital pressure gauges. Most are equipped with Euro and/or Orion fittings for easy connection to your air supply.

Tyre inflator gun with pressure gauge

Our tyre inflators come with pressure gauges, allowing you to easily read the current pressure of your tyre, ball, air mattress, inflatable pool, and more. Some models include nozzles to inflate various items. For example, the digital tire inflator 10 bar 60 cm is perfect for inflating car, motorcycle, or bicycle tyres, and even balls.

We also offer professional models for optimal performance, such as the calibrated tyre inflator 15 bar 150 cm, ideal for demanding applications.

Air-powered chuck

Long air-powered chucks are ideal for use in garages or service stations, especially when inflating hard-to-reach tyres, such as twin tyres on trucks, buses, and tractors, as well as bicycle tyres. These air accessories typically don't have a built-in pressure gauge, so they are connected via an air hose to a tyre inflator or directly to a compressor to read the pressure.

We offer models with heads angled at 45° (for cars only) or 90° (for cars and bicycles), available with 6 mm (1/4") or 8 mm threaded connections.

Which compressor for a tyre inflator?

Most Airpress air compressors are perfectly suited for inflation tasks. Compact and portable models are especially popular for inflating tyres as well as other inflatable objects like mattresses or balls, for which you'll need special inflation adaptors.

When you're on the go or during holiday, a 12V air compressor that plugs into your car's cigarette lighter, is a convenient choice. For example, our 7-bar mini oil free compressor 12V is lightweight, fits easily in the car boot, and comes with adaptors for inflating mattresses or balls.

What do you need to connect a tyre inflator or air chuck to a compressor?

Connecting a tyre inflator gun or air-powered chuck to a compressor is easy. Here's what you'll need:

Ensure the correct tyre pressure

Insufficient tyre pressure not only reduces driving comfort but also increases fuel consumption. It's essential to regularly check and adjust the pressure to ensure the optimal performance of your vehicle. A valve adaptor also allows you to check the pressure and inflate the tyres of your two-wheeled vehicles (bicycles or motorcycles).

When and how to inflate tyres?

Each vehicle type requires its recommended tyre pressure. Car tyres, two-wheeler tyres, and other inflatable objects need different pressures. To determine the correct tyre pressure for your car, refer to the owner's manual, the fuel filler flap, or the driver's side door. For bicycle tyres, check the information printed on the sidewall of the tyre.

Note: Tyre pressure can also be affected by weather conditions. The manufacturer-recommended pressure is based on an ambient temperature of 20°C. For every 10°C temperature change, adjust the pressure by 0.1 bar (lower temperatures in hot weather and increase it in cold weather).

Use the pressure gauge on the inflator gun to measure the pressure and adjust if necessary. The gauge will show the pressure in bars or psi (1 bar = 14.5 psi).
